JOB DESCRIPTION:

We don't use the Internet like we did in 1995. The web is no longer about Pets.com and your home page. Today, it's increasingly about collaborating, sharing and socializing. It's about MySpace and Blogger. And yet, the web browser experience remains virtually unchanged since Netscape 1.0.

What if a web browser could understand your interests and social network to offer a personalized browsing experience? By joining our team of Netscape alumni and Firefox contributors, you'll take a pivotal role in transforming the conventional web browser into a two-way social experience.

As a QA engineer at Flock, you'll have the freedom to do more than just report bugs -- you'll be in the center of the action. Our QA team leads usability test sessions, conducts open source community outreach, designs features, and takes on anything else that we think will make a better browser. And yes, you'll report loads of bugs, too.

Whether you're a seasoned senior QA engineer or a new college graduate: if you think you've got what it takes, we're eager to talk to you.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• BA/BS and 1-3 years QA experience. Or blow us away with your related work experience, demonstrated problem solving and critical thinking skills.
• Familiarity with open source development, and an eagerness to collaborate in a fast-paced global community of developers, testers and enthusiasts.
• Strong analytical and English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• High-level familiarity with Internet technologies and protocols such as HTTP, HTML and TCP/IP.
• Power user of Mac OS X, Windows XP, or Linux.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Evaluate and research bug reports submitted by early adopters and partners.
• Author and refine test plans and test cases.
• Identify and isolate software and service integration bugs.
